Bollywood people not very stylish: Kangana

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who walked for designer Shantanu Goenka at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Monday, says the people in Bollywood are not very stylish except for her contemporaries Priyanaka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor.

"I don`t want to hurt anyone with my remarks, but I find that the style quotient is missing in Bollywood except for Priyanka and Sonam who know how to carry well," Kangana told reporters here.

The Kolkata-based designer presented a line inspired by the French queen Marie Barrios.

According to him, Kangana was the perfect muse for this collection.

"I wanted Kangana to look feminine, I didn`t want to go overboard and I thought she completely justified the theme," he said.

Dressed in a white and beige gown, she looked confident while sashaying down the ramp.

"I never feel uncomfortable while walking the runway as I have done it in films like `Fashion` and `Raaz 2`. So it has become a part of my character," Kangana said.

"Also, I love Shantanu`s design and admire his creativity. He always makes something which suits my complexion and figure," she added.

When asked about her future projects, she said: "I am working on the sequel of `Tanu Weds Manu` and `Ishqiya`."

Bollywood is not bed of roses,,,Kangana Ranaut

Bollywood is no bed of roses, especially for Kangana Ranaut, a small town girl walking the tight rope of showbiz, balancing controversies, heartbreaks and a fledgling career in films.

The 22-year-old actress says that it has not been an easy ride but insists that she has learnt her lessons.

And to share those lessons, Kangana has decided to support a new show 'Pratigya' to be aired on Star Plus from December 7 which details the life of a small town girl grappling with situations of eve teasing and disrespect but coming out as a reformer in the end.

"In metros girls are very independent, conscious and aware. But in the interiors of our country where education is not given importance, they continue to be oppressed.

Kangana rubbishes stories of eveteasing

Remember reports about Kangna Ranaut getting harassed by hooligans on the sets of Tanu Weds Manu? Kangna has now clarified that such stories were only rumours.”There were a lot of rumours about my getting eve-teased by the crowds in Lucknow recently, and I want to let you know there’s no truth to these at all,” Kangna wrote on her blog. The actress added that she and costar R. Madhavan were not even on the sets when the alleged incident took place. “A couple of days ago there was some mild trouble with crowds on the sets, however, neither Maddy nor I were on the set at the time. The people in Lucknow have been most kind and very hospitable and we’ve really enjoyed our visit,” she added.

Kangna is enjoying her stay in Lucknow. “It’s been a really fun time, in a really fun city, with a really fun cast and crew! On our very first day here, the director Anand Rai, discovered a delicious “Chaat” place,” she writes.”And since then, there’s been no stopping us, it’s a chaat party on the sets and we often step out into the city to the restaurants to have a bite of the famous Lucknow cuisine!” she added.Kangna’s sister Rangoli has been with her through this schedule.”We’ve had a lot of fun shopping for chikan embroidery cloth and more. In fact I’m quite excited about my look in this film, as it’s the first time I have an all Indian look, with shararas and short kurtis, morjaris etc,” she wrote on her blog.

“The script is fun and the cast and crew are really nice as well. Maddy is an all time jokster with great stories up his sleeves and has us in splits all the time with his anecdotes,” she adds. Now, Kangna is looking forward to joining the crew on the sets of Knockout next. “With so many films on my plate simultaneously, it is a challenge shifting so quickly from one character to another, but then life’s not fun without a challenge I guess!” she adds.

When Maddy saved Kangana from lewd crowd

Madhavan is one chivalrous actor, or so we come to hear. While shooting for the film Tanu weds Manu, Kangana Ranaut had an episode where a lewd crowd harassed the actress constantly while she was shooting for her scene.

Reveals a unit source “While shooting outdoors in Uttar Pradesh an unruly crowd started passing vulgar remarks to the actress and she was very disturbed by their behaviour. Madhavan is a very chivalrous actor. He saw to it that the mob was kept away from the shoot and spoke to her till she calmed down.”

Also adds the source, “Madhavan and Kangana have both become good friends. Both of them have struggled to get to where they are and now they are respected names in the industry.”

Madhavan and Kangana will be seen with each other for the first time in Tanu weds Manu.

Kangana sets her Dating deadline!

Kangana Ranaut is livid. Barely over her break-up with Adhyayan Suman and there are rumours linking her with the director of her upcoming South Indian film.

"I should free myself from my last experience. I need to be ready to fall in love again, which I am not yet. Why can't people imagine somebody single for sometime at least? It's only been a month that Adhyayan and I parted ways. Frankly, I don't intend to date anybody for a year. Can people stop linking me up with random people? Have I no emotions?" rued the actress in an interview to a news daily.

Despite having broken up with Adhyayan, Kangana says she has fond memories of their relationship. "I have had a bad relationship (with Aditya Pancholi) and I have also had a good relationship. If it's a bad relationship, you end up being shattered. If it's a great relationship like Adhyayan and I had, I can't have any bad memories. Adhyayan helped me come out of my previous relationship and experiences."

Kangana’s big steal; Bags a role Opposite Amitabh Bachchan

Kangana Ranaut’s career is going great guns post her break up with Adhyayan Suman. The actress, who walked away with the much-eyed Best Supporting Actress trophy at the IIFA awards this year, has now signed a film with ace actor Amitabh Bachchan.
She might not have been able to win over critics, who still perceive her as plain lucky, but Kangana seems to have made an impression where it matters. The stunner has been finalised to play an integral part with Bachchan in a film produced by Pritish Nandy and directed by Pritish’s son Kushan.

Titled ‘Actor’, the film has Bachchan in the lead role and is touted to be thriller. And according to reliable sources, Kangana has a meaty part in the film. The actress will play a significant role in unveiling the mystery towards the climax of the film.

A source told reporters, “Kangana loved the role and has given her nod. She will play a smart journalist in the film.”

Though, this is the very first time that the actress will be sharing screen space with the Amitabh, the two seemed to have built quite a rapport at the IIFA awards, where Kangana was seen bonding well with the entire Bachchan clan. The film will be shot in Mumbai and Europe and is expected to go on the floors early next year.
