Arshad Warsi Slapped on the sets!

On the sets of Neeraj Vohra's SHORTKUT, an inevitable accident occurred; Arshad Warsi got slapped by the versatile theatre actor Bakul Thackar, who is been getting great reviews for his performance in the movie of late. Well, no this wasn't yet another tiff, but one of the scenes which got a bit....real!

It so happened that while shooting the film, one of the scenes required Bakul to slap Arshad. Now, amidst the shooting, Bakul actually ended up hitting Arshad hard on his face.

And the impact of the slap was such that Arshad's sunglasses flew straight to the ground!

Seeing this director Neeraj Vohra almost lost his cool and the atmosphere on the sets immediately turned tense. Bakul, who was already anxious initially doing such a scene, was in complete shock due to his blunder!

But much to his surprise and relief moreso, Arshad was extremely cool about it. He assured Bakul that everything was fine and such things keep happening! He even went down to calming the director and insisted on resuming the shooting.

After the incident, Arshad and Bakul soon became pals and bonded like a house on fire for the rest of the movie shoot.

Well, Bakul, that was a close one...literally!

Vidya, Arshad are good in Bed!

, and our sources revealed that the actors weren’t uncomfy doing the scenes, but strangely, they were embarrassed while doing the bed dance. Post the intimate scene, the pair had to break into an impromptu dance on the bed, and while you’d think it could be so erotic, it’s far from that.

They had to pretend they were playing a guitar, and dance like teenagers at a rock show... all on the bed. With Vids simply wearing a petticoat and a loose shirt. Even the rock
band AC/DC (whose dress code — shorts, shirt and a loosely strung tie — made a fashion statement) will probably suffer a complex on seeing this. Those who’ve seen the rushes of the movie claim that it’s a natural and funny. We’ve no doubt that the jodi was good in bed. The dance, we mean. What were you thinking, huh?

Arshad Warsi and Dia Mirza in The Malyalam Remake of 'Notebook'

Malyalam super hit film,” Notebook”. will be remade in Hindi by Arshad Warsi’s production house, Shooting Star Films. The production house is soon to release its first film Kaun Bola starring Arshad and Dia Mirza. The remake will be directed by Roshan Andrews, who had also made the Malyalam film.

A source confirmed and said, “Arshad always wanted to make Notebook in Hindi but he was busy with his first home production. He and Roshan have had a couple of meetings and are in the process of finalising details for the Hindi remake. Arshad was impressed with the film as it is a youthful subject with a social message. He was also impressed with the manner in which the subject of teenage pregnancy was handled sensitively.”

Arshad too confirmed the news and said, “I love the film. It will be directed by Roshan Andrews and things are currently being finalised.”

Anil Kapoor Fined for Short Kut title

The Delhi High Court on Thursday allowed Bollywood actor and producer Anil Kapoor to release his film Shortkut after he agreed to pay Rs 35 lakh to another producer who claimed to have copyright over the title of the movie.

The production company, Anil Kapoor Film Co Pvt Ltd, owned by the actor agreed before Justice Reva Chetrapal to pay Rs 35 lakhs to B S Bhullar who claimed copyrights over the title Short Kut.

The movie, starring Akshay Khanna, Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao, is scheduled to be released on Friday.

Bhullar had alleged that Kapoor had copied the title of his film after he gave script to the actor and offered him a role in his proposed movie.

The High Court had on July 7 issued notice to the film company and and sought its reply on the matter. Bhullar had alleged he had registered the title Short Kut with the Films Association in September 2005 and the Bollywood actor's production company copied it in an "illegal and unauthorised" manner.
