Guess who's in love with Neha?

A little birdie tells me that Neha Dhupia is being wooed… though only on a professional basis.

Apparently the dusky star is quite in demand in the West where she had acted in a series called Bollywood Heroes. It has been a month since the show ended and I am given to believe the praises haven't stopped.

Neha has been jet setting to New York and Los Angeles is said to be keen on hiring an agent to look after her work in Hollywood. And it seems top agents are scrambling to get Neha on their client list.

The sexy star however is biding her time. I believe she will finalise on a name when she flies to Los Angeles the next time. And it might be very soon because the makers are reportedly considering a second season of the show too.

Neha Dhupia will attend the premiere of her US mini Series Bollywood Hero

Neha Dhupia takes off to the US next week for the premiere of Bollywood Hero. The US mini series has the actress play the role of a star known more for her controversies than her films. Her co-actor is American actor Chris Kattan. An event has been planned at the Grand Central Station in New York on August 6. "I have visited this place as a tourist and have taken snapshots of myself at the venue. Now visiting this place for the promotion of Bollywood Hero, is something I had never imagined!" says Neha.

In the promotions for the show, she appears in a typically Indian look. "Ironically, in most of my films here, I am given a Western look. But for the US show I am going very desi," she adds.

Taking it as it comes

The actress says that she is going for the premiere with no expectations. "At least in India, when a film is releasing you are sort of mentally prepared to what is going to happen. But in New York, I am going as a newbie. I will just do what I am told. In that sense, there are no anxiety pangs."

Apart from promoting the US series, she will also be doing media interactions and attending events. "They have organised a host of activities related to the show's screening, and I am will be going there with an open mind. Post Slumdog Millionaire, there is a great interest. It will be a good experience for me."

After Bollywood Hero, Neha takes off for a short vacation in the US. "I am looking forward to attending concerts of Paul McCartney and The Jonas Brothers. I have already got my tickets booked."

The actress has just finished shooting for Vipul Shah's Action Replay and will also be seen in Priyadarshan's De Dhana Dhan besides other films like Pappu Can't Dance Saala and Raat Gayi Baat Gayi.

What bollywood Hero is about
Bollywood Hero, which was shot on location in Mumbai, will be telecast on the IFC channel on August 6, 7 and 8. It has Chris Kattan play an actor who burns his professional bridges in Los Angeles and accepts a role in the Bollywood film where he's flung into a world of cultural faux pas, funding issues and power-hungry starlets. But Kattan unexpectedly falls in love and ultimately fulfills dreams he never even imagined.

Neha Dhupia's New love!

A source said, “Neha used to be petrified of dogs so much so that she wouldn’t venture anywhere close to them. But ever since this pup has come into her life, Neha’s behaviour has completely changed and she’s gotten over her fear of the canine breed.” Maya — that’s what the actress has named the pup — is housed at her place in Goa.

And according to her friends, not a day goes by without Neha calling up to inquire about her pet. We don’t know what boyfriend Ritwik Bhattacharya thinks about this, we are assuming he’s too much of a gentleman to mind sharing his girlfriend’s affection with the newest apple of her eye.

Get ready for a Rejuvenated Neha

Now this one is worth a read. The hot and sexy Neha Dhupia (right) is working really hard nowadays. She is bent on proving her detractors (who chose to write her off as a beauty with no brains) wrong. Neha, who plays a back row dancer in Pappu Can’t Dance Saala is doing everything possible to make the role look authentic. A source close to the actress said, “Neha did a thorough research on back dancers before embarking on the role. She met and interacted with them and was eager to know their lifestyle. She even adopted their looks. She coloured her hair red because the dancers she interacted with had red hair. She also observed that most back row dancers had a habit of chewing gums while waiting for the shot on the sets. And she was quick to include that in her character.” At the end of the day, Neha got so deep into the skin of the character that her co-star Vinay Pathak mistook her with a dancer on the sets
