Ranbir-Katrina the most wanted dates for Valentine's Day

According to a poll conducted by Chakpak movie portal Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are the most wanted Valentine's Day dates. Well, not for each other definitely.

Ranbir and Katrina have topped a list of Bollywood actors with whom the youngsters will like to go on a date with this Valentine's Day. Though Shahid Kapoor was declared as the sexiest male star by the portal, Ranbir ruled the hearts of the young girls.

Ranbir received 39.4% votes leaving behind Shahid with 37.7% votes from the female fans as their Valentine dates. Imran Khan stood at the number three position with 15.9% votes, while Ranveer Singh and Abhay Deol were at the bottom of the list with 4.5 and 2.5 percent respectively.

When it comes to male fans choice, then Katrina Kaif led the league with a big share of 35.6% followed by Deepika Padukone with 22.4% votes. Actress Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor got 17.5, 12.4 and 12.1 percent votes respectively.

The poll was for the Bollywood lovers who fantasize Bollywood celebrities as their valentine dates. The portal also conducted a poll on the sexiest man in Bollywood, in which Shahid Kapoor led the leagues leaving behind John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan in the race.

Katrina to get The Italian Job with Priyanka

Sometime ago the news had been out that Abbas-Mustan will bring an Indian version of a popular Hollywood flick ‘The Italian Job’. Grapevines then had it that the film will bring in Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor together, along with Neil Mukesh and Katrina Kaif.

The current buzz about this Hindi remake is that it will also have Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Khanna and Kunal Kapoor; dismissing Bebo rumours.

According to the film’s screenplay writer Rohit Jugraj, the Hindi version of ‘The Italian Job’ has been considerably changed, in spite the fact that the producers and Abbas-Mustan have bought the remake rights. “For one, the stakes for the heist are much higher. The situations, fights and adventures are all different - and so are the characters,” added Jugraj.

On the other hand Abbas-Mustan too confirmed that the script has undergone a lot of changes, though in spirit their ‘The Italian Job’ will remain the same. Revealing about the casting, the duo stated that they have not yet locked in the entire cast, but are indeed in talks to rope in the above mentioned stars. “It’s a very big project and we need to get the biggest names in place before we start,” said the filmmakers.

Katrina turned down Salman’s offer

Salman Khan is well-known for his kindness but not many natives know that his much-awaited forthcoming project Veer was offered to his ladylove Katrina Kaif before it went to the kitty of newcomer Zarine Khan. Now if sources are to be believed, the pretty new face Zarine had been an assistant to Katrina Kaif for quite a long time.

Zarine has been paired opposite Salman and plays the pivotal role of Princess Yashodhara. Reliable source reveal, “Yes, Zarine was accessible the role after Katrina refused, due to date problems. Zarine had been an assistant to Kats for a while and now she is being launched by Salman.”

Colors pays Rs 4.5 cr for Ranbir-Katrina

Television channel Colors seems to be on a eyeball-grabbing spree. After premiering the big-budget underwater caper Blue, it has reportedly acquired the first-satellite screening rights of this year’s money-spinner Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani as their year-ender whammy.The channel is learnt to have paid a whopping Rs 4.5 crore for it.”With Blue and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani we wanted to enter the feature film slots with a bang.

So far we had desisted from showing feature films,” said a source from the channel. “Once we decided to show films, we had to grab eyeballs immediately. And to do so we needed films that would elicit instant reaction. Having got that with two new biggies, we’ll now settle down to telecast less recent films,” added the source.Unlike Blue which sank without a trace at the box office after its theatrical release October 16, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is a hit.

But Ramesh Taurani, producer of Ajab…, says it won’t affect the film’s collection at the ticket window.”The satellite premiere of Ajab… is happening at December end which is two months after its theatrical release. The theatrical business nowadays is for four weeks, however successful the film,” said Taurani.

Katrina nights out with Salman

Well not a bad deal for Rs. 80 lakhs.

Katrina wants to move away from Salman

Katrina Kaif is on a house-hunting spree. Real estate sources from Bandra reveal that for the last few months, the actress has been searching for a ghar in Bandra area, that’s far away from Galaxy Apartments (Salman Khan’s residence) and closer to Krishna Raj (Ranbir Kapoor’s bungalow) The search for her dream home has become more frantic in the past few days, and she has visited nearly half a dozen buildings in that time.The actress is on the lookout for a 4BHK space that’s sea-facing. She has set aside a Rs 10 crore budget for the same.

A property broker confirms that Kaif had seen a few apartments in Bandra’s Carter Road and Pali Hill area. He is certain it won’t be long before she picks a place, “She wants a big house and her budget is also good. It won’t be a problem for her to find a good house. The only thing is she has to settle on one.”The search has been sporadic in the last few months because Kat often travels for her film and show commitments and recently, she even had a health scare and was bed-ridden for a few days. Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is down with jaundice and missing from the promotions for her latest outing De Dana Dan. And her co-star Akshay Kumar was prompt in wishing her speedy recovery.Rumours were rife that the actress was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai Monday night, where she was diagnosed with jaundice and has been advised complete bed rest for a while.Asked if it were true, Akshay said: “Katrina is down with jaundice… We are missing her and hope she gets well soon.”

Mythology connects Aishwarya and Katrina

Two of the most beautiful actresses are connected by an uncanny coincidence. The forthcoming films of both the stunners are based on the religious Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, starring Aishwarya Rai as Sita, is based on Ramayana. It has south star Vikram playing Ash’s hubby and Abhishek Bachchan playing the villain who kidnaps Ash and takes her into a forest. Govinda’s character, based on Lord Hanuman, is that of a forest guard who helps trace Ash.

Prakash Jha’s film Rajneeti, on the other hand, is based on Mahabharata. The film, a political thriller, borrows a great deal from the politics of Mahabharata. Ranbir Kapoor plays an Arjun-like character who, with the help of his mentor, takes on his rivals. Katrina too plays a politico in the movie that stars a host of actors including Ajay Devgan, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Nana Patekar.

Both ‘Raavan’ and ‘Rajneeti’ have Ash and Katrina in non-glam roles; the stunners are dressed demurely in sarees. Another coincidence is that both the films are set to release in May next year. Though it’s unlikely that the films would clash at the marquee, they would, at best, release with a gap of two weeks in between.

Who will emerge victorious in this battle of supremacy at the box office, we’ll know next year.

I’d like to believe my films is essentially different from Kabir’s.”Kabir Khan was on the way to Cairo for the Cairo Film Festival for the screening of New York on Monday when he was contacted.

Khan said, “What can I say about the similarities between the two films that you’re pointing out? Kurbaan looks like a well-made film. If they’re similar then I’m sure that the audience that appreciated my New York will also take to this film.”But the real fight will be between Kareena and Katrina, both portraying similar roles and vying for the same popular awards at the end of the year.

Salman-Katrina want to enjoy before marriage

Many might be wondering why Salman Khan has not married in spite of his hair fading with age every passing year.
