Nana Patekar Kicks Cancer Stick !

Veteran actor Nana Patekar is nowadays known more for his whimsical ways than his acting. A chain smoker that he has been for many decades now, Nana has suddenly quit smoking for good.

A close pal of the Nana Patekar tells us, “Nana has been smoking the cancer stick for over 30 years now and on the sets of ‘Rajneeti’, he finally called it quits. The actor has now quit smoking for over two months and seems to be pretty cool about it. In fact, since his ouster from the film, he had been giving lectures to co-actors Arjun Rampal and Ajay Devgan about the same.

He further added, “Nana has been trying to quit smoking for a long time now. However, it’s only recently that he managed to do so. The first film he shot after that was ‘Rajneeti’ and he was obviously not enjoying the fact that other co-actors and the unit members were smoking. Ajay Devgan and Arjun Rampal are both chain smokers and Nana used to get irritated when he was around them.

Nana Patekar apologises to Prakash Jha

Nana Patekar is truly sorry about the argument that took place between him and Prakash Jha last week. He is sad that he lets his temper take over him. The actor is sad about what he has done but he wishes Jha wouldn’t have gone about discussing the issue with the media as they were very good old friends.Nana explained that the reason he got angry is because he had to play Lord Krishna’s avatar and sing a little for his character. He is not a good singer at all so his songs were recorded in Rashid Khan’s voice.

But when he reached the location, he was told that the songs got erased by mistake and that he would have to sing in place of Khan instead.He tried to reason with Jha, but Jha wouldn’t listen. He kept pressing on him to sing then and that they would dub it later. Nana lost his cool and admits to being very abusive and rude with Jha. He hopes to make any compensation he can to recover the shooting losses but he cannot take his behaviour back. He is very upset that Jha was almost in tears because of the way Nana behaved.

When Katrina gifted underwear to Nana Patekar!

Ajay Devgn strikes again. And this time the prankster's victim was co-star Katrina Kaif. Recently, on the sets of Prakash Jha's Rajneeti, Ajay took Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee into confidence and pulled a joke on his leading lady.

The trio told the actress that it was Nana Patekar's birthday and they said that since he was in a bad mood, Katrina ought to wish him and present him with a gift box. Little did she know that the cake box actually contained some funny items.

A source from the unit reveals, "This prank was Ajay's brain child and he took everyone on the sets in confidence. The trio walked up to Katrina and told her it was Nana's birthday and that they were throwing a party for him. They told her that she had to dress modestly in Indian attire, as Nana was very particular about how women dressed."

Kat hurriedly dressed up in a salwar-kameez and walked up to Nana with a box given by Ajay. "When Nana opened the box he was shocked to find old underwear, a single chappal and a fake moustache as a gift. Kat was horrified."

A source close to Kat adds, "She was embarrassed and turned beet red. Everyone including Ajay, Arjun and Manoj started laughing hysterically. Nana finally told her it was a prank and that she should be more careful with Ajay from now on."
